Moving To the Gulf Coast Day

I can't believe the Endeavor Space Shuttle has been delayed again until next week or later.  The astronauts have already gone back to Huston, TX.  So the Kights packed up and
headed out to the Gulf.

We went to Pass a Grill Beach near St. Pete.   We left about 11:00am and arrived about 2:45pm.

Yeah, I love the Gulf...it is so beautiful.  We got a simple motel room at the Keystone Motel right on the beach...actually across the road from the beach...no motels, houses, etc. on the beach in this area.

We got settled, read,  and took a nap.  then we got up and went for a walk on the beach looking for shells.  There were lots of shells right on the beach.  I picked up a whole bag full...nice ones considering lots of people were on the beach and it was evening.  Mostly we have just snacks and leftovers today for meals so we decided to eat at The Brass Monkey, right beside our motel.  We sat outside on the upper deck and it just felt wonderful...happy people and lovely warm breeze and beautiful view of the beach and ocean.  the food was good but expensive.

I had a jumbo shrimp salad sandwich and Mike had a crab sandwich, salad, and onion rings.  A lot of the beach traffic was gone by after dinner and we drove around and just looked at the area.  On the bay side there was a little bait shop that had a small marina with lots of tour and rental boats.

We found the Shell Key Island tour boat that goes to a wonderful island that has lots of good shelling.  I want to do this...maybe Tuesday.
Some exciting news was reported on Fox News.....Usama Bi Lauden has been brought to justice...he was killed by American soldiers and his body was buried at sea.
